Medical doctor, researcher and author of over 50 original scientific publications in different areas of basic and applied medical research including exercise physiology, immunology, atherosclerosis and diabetes. He is also an inventor of some nutraceutical formulations to control metabolic syndrome and related conditions.

For many years Dr. Bashmakov served as a Faculty Member at the Department of Molecular Genetics in the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School (Dallas) led by two Nobel Prize Winners Dr Michael S Brown and Dr Joseph L Goldstein with whom he has numerous publications on regulation of lipid metabolism and insulin resistance.

His excellent scientific credentials and expertise, together with significant practical experience in organisation of multi-centre clinical trials provides an invaluable contribution for Lycotec research and development activity.
