Lycotec CEO Dr Ivan M Petyaev is to attend 18th ISANH World Congress on Antioxidants in Beirut from 3rd – 4th May 2017. Saint-Joseph University of Beiruit, Lebanon.
The aim of the ISANH international congress is to gather all stakeholders in the antioxidants field and to examine their impact on nutrition and health. The majority of participants will come from Europe, Asia & the Middle East to discuss about some strategic axes during the ISANH Middle East 2017.
This congress will be divided in four parts dedicated to different targets:
- Antioxidants & Oxidative Stress in health and medicine
- Antioxidants & functional ingredients used in the food & beverage industry
- Practical applications of antioxidants in the cosmetic industry
- Dietary Supplements in the Middle East
When antioxidants are administered in isolated forms they quite often underperform in comparison to when they are consumed as a part of food. This could be explained by a number of reasons: loss of the food matrix, which can buffer stomach pH and affect processing by intestinal microbiota, loss of chaperone molecules which are important for antioxidant absorption, transportation and metabolism.
New delivery technologies designed to address these issues could be a solution for effective antioxidant supplementation. Validation of this approach will be illustrated in this presentation by results from clinical studies.
During the Beirut Antioxidants World Congress, Dr Ivan Petyaev from Lycotec Ltd, United Kingdom will answer the following question: How to improve bioavailability and efficacy of isolated antioxidants in clinic: from formulation and chaperones to organ targeting delivery.
